Tooling

The low internal mold pressure generated during the RIM process allows mold builders to use a variety of less expensive mold materials than steel. Materials range from cast aluminum, silicone rubber, resin molds, nickel shell, and kirksite.

RIM Manufacturing has partnered with a few select mold builders to assist its clients in building the optimum mold for part production. The tooling can be generated using many of the current CAD data-generated rapid construction techniques.
